Peanut’s nest

People often ask whether male Harvest Mice make nests. Here is Peanut modelling his lovely nest, made recently from hay put into his tank. It is bigger than the average solitary nest, but that is probably because he had no long pieces of vegetation, or verticals to weave around. At nearly 18 months old (very good going for a harvest mouse!) he is still looking very handsome.
