With the start of October, a new harvest mouse nest searching season has begun again. We already have several surveys planned in, with Orchard Farm at Mothecombe kicking things off on Monday 20th October. No experience is needed, just a pair of gardening gloves and outdoor clothes-we’ll show you exactly what to do when you arrive.

Our new map already has five records on it, and since being published yesterday, we’ve already had a new nest record sent in. The 2024-5 map looked great by the end of the season, so here’s hoping that we can do even better this time!
